Privacy Policy

Banlon works without an account and treats choices, reasons, and conversations as sensitive information.

1. Information we process

  • A one-way hash of the installation identifier and a push token
  • Question choices, optional reasons, and value-map calculations
  • AI debates, user-to-user conversations, and operational metadata
  • For optional Google sign-in: account identifier, email address, display name, and profile photo
  • Nickname, bio, and an optional profile image you upload
  • App version, operating system, language, error and latency data
  • Ad reward identifiers and Google Play purchase and entitlement records

2. Why we use it

  • Provide daily questions and anonymous choice statistics
  • Build the value map and select philosophical perspectives
  • Generate debate responses and manage message credits
  • Provide optional sign-in, profiles, and user-to-user conversations
  • Deliver notifications, resolve errors, prevent abuse, and secure the service
  • Verify rewarded ads and in-app purchases and prevent duplicate fulfillment

3. Retention

Local records remain on your device until you delete them in the app or remove the app. Server records are linked to an account or anonymous installation identifier for service delivery. They are deleted or irreversibly de-identified after you use Delete My Data or we verify a deletion request. Minimal payment, dispute, or legally required records may be retained separately for the applicable period.

4. Processors and international transfer

We use Cloudflare for hosting, databases, and file storage; OpenAI API for debate generation; Google Firebase for sign-in and notifications; Google AdMob for advertising; and Google Play for payments. Information required for these functions may be transmitted over encrypted connections and processed on each provider’s global infrastructure under its contract, privacy policy, and configured retention controls. Reasons and debate text are not included in personalized-ad analytics events.

5. Your choices

  • Request access or deletion through in-app controls or support
  • Withdraw notification permission and advertising consent
  • Request restriction of processing and raise a concern

6. Safeguards

  • The original installation identifier is not stored on our servers
  • Admin APIs and ERP access are separated
  • Reasons and debate text are excluded from operational logs
  • Encryption in transit and least-privilege access
